Mr. Wm. Conner died on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 A.M., after a severe illness of asthma, aged 59 years. He leaves six grown children: Mrs. Lena Vestile, of Canaan; Thomas, of Farmer's City, IL; Claude, of Indianapolis; Vaughn, of Shelbyviile; Harvey and Will, of this city. Mr. Conner's health failed him a few years ago and he moved to town and look charge of the Claflin Boarding House on East Main street, which he conducted successfully. His wife died after their removal to Madison, and he subsequently went back to Canaan.
The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. The remains will be laid to rest in the Canaan cemetery.
"DNA results show that he was likely the son of Lewis Conner, not the father that is currently shown for him on this memorial"
