Gary T. Luckie, 58, owner and operator of South Plains Business Equipment, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Family and friends will gather for a time of reflection and fellowship from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 22, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Calvary Baptist Church followed by committal services at City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Gary was born April 20, 1953 in Lubbock, Texas to TJ and Elzia Grace Luckie. He owned many successful businesses including South Plains Business Equipment for over 30 years in Lubbock. Gary married Donna Andrews on September 29, 1984 in Idalou, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; sons, Gary David and Derek Luckie; granddaughters, Hannah, Taylor, and Lindsey Luckie; mother, Elzia Grace Luckie-Ford and husband, Coy; sister, Judy Ford Seigworth and husband Steven; niece and nephew, Samantha and Grayson Seigworth.

He was preceded in death by his father, TJ Luckie and mother-in-law, Charlotte Andrews.
