Nancy Joan Palmer was born on May 23, 1938, to Clarence and Gladys (Pries) Palmer in Eyota. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1956 and went to work as a Nurses' Aide at Rochester Methodist Hospital. She lived in Elkhart, Ind., from 1962 until moving back to Rochester in 1976, at which time she worked at Rochester Methodist Hospital. She moved to Rapid City in 1989 to be closer to family.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Anita) Roberts of Box Elder, S.D.; her sister, Pauline (Doug) Hubman of Laurel, Mont.; her brother, Richard (Betty) Palmer of Rochester; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews.
Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester at a later date.
