Friday morning at her home on East Monroe street occurred the death of Amy, relict of Sandusky Bellinger. She was born in Manheim in 1842, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Snell, respected pioneer settlers in this section. Her marriage to Mr. Bellinger took place in 1862 and his death occurred 34 years later. The deceased was a woman of the finest type, devoted to home and family, charitable and kind to neighbors and friends, whose friends were numerous. There survive, to mourn their loss, six daughters, Mrs. William VanValkenburg, Mrs. Addie Conley, the Misses Mabel and Anna Bellinger, all of this city, Mrs. Walter Menge of Dolgeville and Mrs. J. D. Rutledge of Binghamton. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the late home, Rev. H. C. Cooper and Rev. A. J. Wyman, officiating. Little Falls Journal and Courier, January 23, 1917
