Coleen, 55, Michigan City, IN, formerly Lima, died at 3:20 p.m., at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was a daughter to John and Joan (Bryan) Bruin. She was formerly married to Stephen J. Grothjan and Daniel J. Graham.
Surviving are three sons, Jason Grothjan, Michigan City, Bryan (Gina McDaniel) Graham and Brandon (Victoria Kellam) Graham, both Lima; three sisters, Laura (Allen) Dake, Erin Bruin and Doug Stumbaugh, and Jackie Friemoth, all Lima; and a grandson, Bradley Graham.
She had been a member of Eagles, Orioles, Moose, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Lima. She was a 1974 graduate of Lima Central Catholic and had worked at Artex, Ex-Cello/Airfoil Textron and Goodyear. Coleen had fought cancer since 2008, winning her first two battles of throat and lung cancer. In her third battle, the cancer spread throughout her body and she lost this final battle.
A memorial Mass will be at St. John Catholic Church, Lima, Fr. David Ross, officiating.
