Margaret Armstrong Betts, 92, former teacher and librarian at Mackay, ID died January 15, 1996 in Cheyenne, WY.

She was born in Culdesac, ID January 23, 1903. On June 3, 1925, she married William E. Armstrong at Lewiston, ID. They resided in Mackay for many years where she was employed by the Mackay School District. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Armstrong in 1945 and Mr. Armstrong died January 22, 1966. She later married Homer Betts who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Betts was active in community affairs and was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served as organist at the Mackay Community Church for many years.

Surviving is a son, William B. "Bill" Armstrong, Cheyenne, WY; two grandchildren, Mary Archer, Cheyenne, WY and James Armstrong, Syosset, NY, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 1 pm at the Mackay Masonic Temple. Burial will be in Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay under direction of Marvel Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
