Wanda Jean McCarty passed away on July 21, 2011. Wanda was born on February 9, 1936 to Greeley & Annie Oliver in Harlingen, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was loving to all and loved by all. She loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ingleside. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Audra Brown, and four sisters, Pauline, Lavesta, Joy & Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Hershiel McCarty of Aransas Pass; four daughters: Janice Kay (Robert) Gugula of Baldwinsville, New York, Vicki Brock and Jill McCarty, both of Gillette, Wyoming and Marishia Brown of Aransas Pass; two sisters, Barbara Carlyon of Portland and Carolyn Wallace of Ingleside; six grandchildren: Mariel Rezner, Kamen Grubbs, Malachi Bennett, Dani Nelson, Philip Rowley, and Amanda Terrell. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family present to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral
service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass with Reverend Forest Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass
