LaGrange: Mrs. Dora B. BALYEAT, 84, Rt. 5, LaGrange, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in LaGrange after an extended illness.

She was born in LaGrange County, Ind., May 8, 1890, to Porter and Eliza MECUM. On Jan. 28, 1909, she was married to Albert BALYEAT. His death occurred March 19, 1956.

Mrs. BALYEAT was a member of the Howe United Methodist Church.

Surviving are five sons, Dean of Edwardsburg, Mich.; Earl of Kalkaska, Mich.; Leonard and Robert of Mathis, Tex.; and Bryce, of Ironwood, Mich.; six daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Goldie) HEWITT of Battle Creek; Mrs. Raymond (WahNetta) CHRYSTLER, Rt. 5, LaGrange; Mrs. David (Maxine) DUMONT of Sturgis; Mrs. Robert (Nora) JOHNSON of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Willard (Fern) BROWN of Kalamazoo; and Mrs. John (Bonnie) LONGACRE of Bathel, Wash.; 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. BALYEAT had been making her home with Mr. and Mrs. CHRYSTLER before entering the nursing home.

Visitation may be made in the Shoup Funeral Home in Howe between 3-8 p.m. Friday (Ind. time). The body will be removed to the Howe United Methodist Church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and services will be held in the church at 2 p.m. Saturday (Ind. time). The Rev. George Weister, the pastor, and the Rev. Robert W. Fields, pastor of the Church of God in LaGrange will officiate.
