Bob enjoyed sport throughout his life, playing basketball for Brimley High, and many years for the Cozy Inn, and baseball for Brimley and Dafter. He also bowled for many years. He enjoyed hunting and in later years took up fishing with his family.
He served in the United States Army, spending 18 months in Hanau, Germany. He held the office of Constable and served on the Dafter Township Board as a Trustee. Bob was a lifelong member of the Brimley V.F.W. and Tri-Copc, Inc.
Bob was a retired farmer. He also worked for Savoie Construction for many years.
He is survived by his sisters Margie (Don) Wilson of Houston, Texas, and Lu (Paul) Coutant of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, brothers; Bryce Beamish of Rockford, Michigan, Ross (Gerry) Beamish of Alpena, Michigan, and sisters-in-law Kay Beamish of Bonney, Washington, and Ardis Beamish of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.
Preceding Bob Beamish in death were his parents, and brothers James, George, and Orville, and his sister-in-law Joan Beamish.
