The funeral for John W. Bass, 81, a watchman for the county for 26 years, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday in the Land Park Chapel of Harry A. Nauman and Son. Burial will follow in East Lawn Southgate Cemetery.
Bass, a 58-year resident of Sacramento, died Saturday. He was native of Missouri.
He belonged to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Betty Lunardi of Sacramento and Phyllis Leonard of Cheyenne, Wyo., and four grandchildren.
