Mrs. Gail Gallaher Armstrong, 86, Michigantown, died at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, 1971, at the Clinton County Hospital following a one-week illness.

Mrs. Armstrong spent most of her life in Clinton County. She was a member of the Michigantown United Methodist church and its WSCS, and a member of the Priscilla Club at Kirklin.

She was born at Kirklin on November 11, 1884, the daughter of William Albert and Emma Gallaher. Her husband Herman D. Armstrong died in 1960. They were married April 26, 1905.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarice A. Sturgeon of Michigantown and a sister, Mrs. Leah Young of Frankfort rt. 5.

A brother, Ross Gallaher, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock this morning, Tuesday, May 25, 1971, at the Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph W. Andrews officiating.

Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
