Funeral Services for a former area resident, Wilfred Vanderloop, 58, were held December 12 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Fredonia, with burial in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Vanderloop, who died December 9, was born February 11, 1915 in Stanley in the town of Worden and was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Huls) Vanderloop. He attended the Garfield School. He spent four and one-half years in the service, most of which was overseas.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille (nee Leider), whom he married May 25, 1946; two daughters; two grandsons and three sisters, Mathilda Brown of Cedarburg, Mrs. Arthur (Agnes) Jacques and Mrs. Henry (Rose) Frese of Thorp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
