Fader, Tressel - Of Durand, age 88, died Tuesday, February 6, 1996 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, February 9, 1996 at the Church of the Nazarene, 9725 East Monroe in Durand, Reverend Richard G. Forsythe officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 5-9 P.M. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Fader will be at the church from 9 A.M until time of service on Friday. Mr. Fader was born in Caro, Michigan on September 29, 1907, the son of Frederick and Isabelle (LaPratt) Fader and was a resident of the Durand area since 1953. He married Irene McNeil on October 28, 1925 in Unionville. Mr. and Mrs. Fader celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 28, 1995. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Durand. Mr. Fader was employed by General Motors at the Chevrolet Plant, retiring in 1973. Surviving are his wife Irene; 3 daughters; 2 sons; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother Merkle and wife Harriet Fader of Caro; sister-in-law Dorothea Fader of Caro. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Fader.
