Mrs. Nancy J. Dawson died last night at her home at 1464 East Marietta street after an illness of four months with consumption. She passed away peacefully. She was born Sept 7, 1830. She came to Decatur twenty-five years ago with her husband and has since that time lived at the home place. Her husband died fifteen years ago. Three daughters are left: Mrs. Fanny Rose of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Mrs. Jennie Mathias of Wier City, Kan., and Mrs. Hattie Muma of Decatur. There are two sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Turner and Mrs. Mary Burgess. Jesse Kepple of No., 1 hose house was a son-in-law of Mrs. Dawson.
The funeral will be held form the residence Monday afternoon at 2:30.
