Passed away Jul. 30, 1981 in the old Lacey home on 4th St in McGehee,Ark. from apparent Heart Attack.

Worked 45 yrs.for Missouri-Pacific railroad.
Was in a Milatary Camp
Baseball historian.
Loved to play dominoes and cards
Avid RAZERBACK fan
Always had a pot of Coffee on.

The epitome of a true Southern gentleman
He was a very compassionate & generous man to those in need. He touched the lives of many and is loved by many.

Father;William George Lacey,
Mother;Orpha Lena Allen Lacey.
Four brothers; George, Fred, Zeno, John Robert.
Sister; Lydia Francis Lacey Pearson(James Boyd,Sr.)
2nd Wife: Jessie Faye Butler-Lacey-Lacey(Her 1st husband was Charles's brother,George Lacey.)

Survivors:
1st wife; Inez Marie Tullos Lacey. Mother of his daughters; Married 1-28-38. (Now deceased,Feb. 28,2009)
Two daughters: Kelsey Lena Lacey-Smith(Edward), Lydia Marie Lacey-Mayfield (Raymond).
Sister; Rachel Vivian(Lacey) Morris.(Now deceased,Aug.2000).
Five grandchildren; Twyla Brianne(Smith)Bartel, Paughnee Telisa Smith, Barry Malcohm Mayfield, Keith and Kent Mayfield.
Many nieces and nephews.

3rd wife; Ruby Waites Elliott,Losite Lacey,(deceased,1987) Married to Charles Lacey from 2-23-81 to 7-30-81

My sister and I were so blessed to have a very precious Daddy. He was the best ever. Very affectionate and fun loving. He read stories, played, sang, took us on special train trips etc. Forever missed.

The memory of a good person is a blessing-Proverbs 10:7.

Funeral services were held at Dupwe & Sons
Chapel in McGehee,Ar. August 2, 1981.

Burial in McGehee Cementary.
