Mr. Brown, a resident of Route 1, East Prairie, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, in the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff after an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 13, 1914, in Mississippi County, son of the late William and Nina Williams Brown. Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County and was a member of the Full Gospel Church of East Prairie. He was a veteran of World War II.
On March 20, 1941, he married Mildred Lee Priest Brown, who survives.
In addition to his wife, surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Peggy L. Benson of East Prairie, two sons, Lionell Brown of East Prairie and Raymond Brown of Sikeston; two sisters, Grace Childers of Union City, Tenn., and Mrs. Voner Dunn of East Prairie; three brothers, Doll Brown of East Prairie, Charles Brown of West Alton and J.D. Brown of Uxbridge, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
One brother, one sister and two sons preceded him.in death.
