Owen passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2010.
He was born in San Fernando, California and raised in Santa Paula. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran and was active in civic and volunteer duties throughout his life.
Owen graduated from Cal Poly in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He spent thirty-three years traveling the Southwest working in the banking and agricultural industries before retiring in 1991 to Santa Paula. He worked in the El Centro Branch of Bank of America for nine years before joining Imperial Land and Cattle. He spent his retirement in various volunteer positions at the Santa Paula First United Methodist Church and researching the family genealogy. A happy hearted man, Owen loved being around his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years Clara Ellen.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Paula on June 9, 2010 at 1 p.m.
