Andrew C. Castle, born March 15, 1850, at Watertown, Wis., and died Sept. 15,1916, at his home in Pleasant Dale. He was married to Junnie H. Happel, Aug. 21, 1878, at Lincoln, Nebr. this union six children were born, two dieing in infancy.

He is survived by his widow and four sons: James H., living near Pleasant-Dale, Geo. C. of Oberlin, K an., Walter and Robert, still at home.

He was raised in the Catholic faith, but in later years attended the Protestant church. He was a man of quiet disposition, of stanch integrity, a faithful friend, a good neighbor and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a charter member of Oberlin council, No. 106, Sons and Daughters of Justice.

Services were conducted in the M. E. church, Sunday at 2 o'clock p. m., Rev. Thos. D. Davia of Milford Congregational church, preaching the funeral sermon, and burial was made in the Pleasant Dale cemetery.
