Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 30 for John William Mahoney, 53, who died at his home 2421 Saunders Station Road, Monroeville, Pa. early Monday, September 28 following a short illness. He was born in Elkton, Cecil County, the son of Mrs. Grace Hanson Mahoney, Monroeville, and the late Harry E. Mahoney.

He was a regional bridge construction supervisor for the B & O and C & O Railroad Companies. Surviving him, besides his mother, are his wife, Catherine Williams Danner Mahoney, a former resident of South Colonial Avenue, Westminster; and a son, Roy P. Mahoney, Elkton; and three brothers, Hanson H., Baltimore; C. Terry and Thomas E. Mahoney, both of Elkton.

Burial was in Westminster Cemetery.
