PICKETT, GERALD A. "FRANDADDY" SR., 57, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011. He was a native of Louisville and was a former employee of the KY Dept. of Transportation. He served a funeral director's apprenticeship under R.G. May Funeral Home in Louisville. He was a former member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and current member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mitchell, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Jamesella Pickett; and a sister Arletta Pickett-Bibbs. He is survived by his loving wife, Earlene Sanders Pickett; children, Nathan Williams, Gerald Lee, Jacqueline Blackmon, Clyde Pickett, DeMarcus Bailey, Gerald Pickett Jr.; siblings, Earlyn Reynolds, Glenn and Mary Pickett; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at A.D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home, 1300 West Chestnut St., with burial in Louisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
