A retired purchasing agent for the City of Gonzales and resident of Prairieville, he died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1999, in Baton Rouge. He was 70 and a native of Wallace. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with service in the Korean Conflict. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Bob Stine. Survived by Marie Abadie Sprehe,Gonzales; four daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquee and Randy Williams and Jill and Chris Edmond, all of Gonzales, Theresa and Richard Marvin, Falmouth, Mass., and Sondra and Paul Mayon, Prairieville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenny and Stephanie Abadie, St. Amant, and Lyman Jr. and Angela and David Abadie, all of Gonzales; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Antoinette Roussel and Ruth Walter, both of Metairie, Rita Camallo, LaPlace, Vivian and Tom Huber, Baton Ro!
uge, and Mable andJim Garland, Galena Park, Texas; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Leo G. and Lois Abadie, Baton Rouge, Gerard and Ferol Abadie, Reserve, Harold and Ann Abadie, Lake Charles, Amedee J. and Maizie Abadie, LaPlace, and Conrad J. Abadie, Reserve; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Alexander Amedee and Ada Waguespack Abadie; and two brothers, Maurice and Vernon Abadie.
