Fritz John Babin ----- A retired parts salesman, he died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at 8:15 a.m. at his home in St. Amant. He was 66, a native of Gonzales and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, on Thursday, July 6, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Entombment in Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Theresa B. Babin; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dale J. and Deneé Babin, Bryan J. Babin, Darryl P. and Maria Babin, and Michael F. and LaDonna Babin; stepchildren and spouses, Todd M. and Kim Buratt, Nicole and James Settoon, Tina and Ronnie Mire, Dorothy and Charley Cedotal, Connie Buratt and Virgil Buratt; three sisters, Elsie Frederic, Joyce Frederic and Vernell Templet; two brothers, Lionel "Boogie" Babin and George Babin Jr.; grandchildren, Julie Mueller and Ren, Claire, Blythe, Ian, Quinn and Parker Babin; stepgrandchildren, Kade "Ronf," Chevy and Wyatt Settoon, Cody Buratt, Joseph Roddy Jr., Preston James Roddy, Jeffrey Cook Jr., Mandy Buratt, Shawn and Stephen and Jeremy and Adrian Buratt; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Desiree, Anastasia and Raven Roddy, Thomas Jones and Evelyn and Kristin Fussell. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Bertha P. Babin; and brother, Louis Babin. Pallbearers will be James Baldwin, Ronnie Mire, Harry Millien, James Settoon, Charlie Cedotal and Joseph Roddy Jr. Special thanks to Hospice in His Care and to Kathleen McLin.
