PORT BARRE - Funeral services for Mr. Sidney Bellard Sr., 91, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here with burial in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Mike Hebert will conduct the services.
Mr. Bellard, a resident of Port Barre and a native of Church Point, died at 8:59 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2001, in Opelousas General Hospital. He was an oil field construction worker and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Verna Lejeune and Mrs. Bertha Bellard Marks, both of Port Barre, and Mrs. Linda Nezat of Opelousas; a son, Sidney Bellard Jr. of Mandeville; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Daigle of Lake Charles and Mrs. Hazel Bihm of Port Barre; three brothers, Leonce
Bellard Sr. and Isaac Bellard Sr., both of Port Barre, and Charles Bellard of Mamou; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bellard was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Comeaux Bellard; his parents, Noah Bellard and Hazel Janice Bellard; a brother, Noah Bellard Jr.; a sister, Virginia Bellard Matte; and a son-in-law, Charles Marks.
