WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Calvin Beatty, 82, of Rt. 2, Warfordsburg, died Saturday at his home.
Born in Fulton County, he was the son of James A. and Julia Kerns Beatty.
He was a member of Buck Valley United Church of Christ. He has been secretary of Union Township for 20 years. He had been a farmer and has operated a general store for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie M. Fisher Beatty; one son, Clyde Beatty of Shippensburg; and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Buck Valley United Church of Christ. The Rev, David Colton will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral home in Hancock tonight from 7 to 9
