Larry T. Ojibway, 47, of 17387 54th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died this morning, Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at his home with the care of Northwest Hospice.

He was born June 26, 1955, in Eau Claire to Margaret (Hanson) and Edward Ojibway. He attended Seymour Central Grade School and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1973.

After graduation, he moved to Chippewa Falls. He resided in Madison from 1984 until 1990, when he returned to Chippewa Falls. He was employed for the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for 25 years as a fatal crash investigator and prevention specialist. He retired due to disability in July of 2002.

He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, and the Chippewa Falls Moose Lodge 246.

Survivors include his fiancée, Denyse Elliott of Chippewa Falls; three sisters, Judy Berg and Dawn (Dick) Mrozinski, all of Chippewa Falls and Nancy Ojibway of Eau Claire; six brothers, David (Brenda) Ojibway of Fredicksburg, Va., Terry Ojibway of Eau Claire, Dale (Brenda) Ojibway of Chippewa Falls, Steve (Jill) Ojibway of Spooner, Dan (Debbie) Ojibway of Eau Claire and Jeff (Debbie) Ojibway of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Michael and Tim Ojibway.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Rick Hoyme officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
