Mary Ferguson passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at age 88 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Ferguson began her nursing career in the United States Navy. She continued her career as a civilian nurse working in Navy hospitals in Atlanta and Pensacola. She was also co-founder and co-owner of Ferguson Airport in Pensacola. Mrs. Ferguson will be remembered as a giving woman, dedicated to helping people through nursing.
Her parents and several siblings precede her in death. Survivors include one son, Donald Ferguson of Pensacola; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren as well as her sisters, Mrs. Katherine Tuttle and Mrs. James Kerr and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, Pensacola.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, Pensacola. Mrs. Ferguson will be interred in Barrancas National Cemetery following the funeral.
