Alveina Berniece Harrison, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 26, 2011.

Private family services will be at a later date in Syracuse, Kan. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Harrison was born June 25, 1928, in Clinton, Okla., to Thomas and Alveina Robb. She worked as a telephone operator during the war. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Cramer and wife Delois of Amarillo; a brother, Merlin Robb of Forgan, Okla.; a sister, Betty Day of Forgan; three grandchildren, Lana Gibbs and husband Clarence and Wesley Cramer and wife Mandy, all of Amarillo and DeeShane Cramer of Texarkana; two great-grandchildren, Shawn Gibbs and wife Samantha and Matthew Cramer, all of Amarillo; two great-great-grandchildren, Keagan and Peyton Gibbs; two stepchildren, Cathy and Doug; a special friend, Anita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday at the funeral home.
