William N. Battle III- A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, born October 4, 1936 departed this life on Saturday July 23, 2011 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was a member Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, proudly serving 31 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Susie Thompson, Mobile; five children; eight grandchildren; three nieces; three nephews; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two aunts; one uncle; a host of cousins, other relatives and devoted CB club members. His remains will lie in state Friday, July 29, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Small's Mortuary, Mobile. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 860 S Warren, Rev. Alvin Cleveland, officiating.
