Mrs. Gerald H. (Clara) Glaeser, 69, of 3910 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Liberty.
Mrs. Glaeser, nee Clara Ahl, was born Apr. 14, 1904, in the Town of Newton, daughter of the late Peter and Rose Mars Ahl. She was married to Gerald H. Glaeser Jan. 5, 1924, at Milwaukee. In recent years she made her home at Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1967. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church and Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Robert W., of Valders; two brothers, Joseph, of Manitowoc and Frank, of Sheboygan; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, of California, Mrs. Lillian Lutzke, of Manitowoc and Mrs. William (Lena) Bertsche, of Newton; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Dale and Barbara Glaeser, of Valders. A son, William, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, using the Ninth Street entrance, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday and from 12:30 p.m. at the church until the time of service. Manitowoc Senior Citizens will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
