He was commissioned as a Police officer on 07/20/1970. Upon graduating form the academy he was assigned to District 2. He was also assigned to District 7 and District 1. He was called to active duty in the military on 02/25/1991. Upon his return he was assigned to District 2 where he retired on 09/14/1992 with a total of 22.15 years of service.

He served in the United States Coast Guard from 02/01/1957 to 02/01/1964, and then joined the Army National Guard in 1970 and remained in the reserves until 1994, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) at the time of his separation.

Officer Sidorski died of colon cancer. He was cremated and his remains were placed in the Missouri River by his favorite fishing location where he loved to fish.
