MORTON - Elaine J. Leonowens, 81, of 150 Yordy Road, Apt. 233, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 13, 1922, in Naperville to Albert H. and Antonette P. Ehr LaSanska, she married George Farnum in 1940 in Naperville.
She later married Kenneth Leonowens in August 1965 in Plainfield. He died in 1972.
She also was preceded in death by one son, John E. Farnum in 1978; and one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Darla (and John) Goodfellow of Morton; two grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (and Alice) LaSanska of Hinckley.
She worked as a secretary at Bank of America in the Virgin Islands, New York and California for 19 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Naperville Cemetery in Naperville. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Ludwig Mortuary.
