Miss Irma Smith, daughter of Mrs. Nelle Smith, 3318 S. Jennings, was married at 5:30 p.m. Sunday to Mr. J. T. Hightower, 4 Chase Court, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Hightower, 4016 Parrish Road, at Broadway-Mulkey Methodist Church by Rev. Hayden Edwards.

Wedding music was provided by Mmes. Tommie Haas, organist, and J. P. Rhodes, vocalist. The church was decorated with palms, candelabra and baskets of yellow mums.

Mrs. A. G. Russell was her sister's matron of honor. Ushers were Messrs. Russell, W. C. Turner, W. E. Kelly and M. J. Kuehn. Mrs. Russell wore a fuchsia crepe dress and carried purple asters.

The bride wore a chartreuse crepe dress with brown accessories and carried a white Bible topped with green orchids.

At a reception at the Smith home, Mmes. L. D. Watkins and T. I. Kimzey presided.

When the couple left for a short trip, the bride wore a black and fuchsia suit with black accessories. They will live at 2270 Hemphill.

Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Russell, Capt. Anne Smith, WAC, and Mrs. W. J. Steward, all of Abilene.
