SALUDA
Mrs. Mae Dora Orander Koon, 86, widow of Curtis Boyington Koon, died Monday.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late James Hillary and Callie Smith Orander. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. R. Clyde (Callie Rae) Berry of Saluda, Mrs. James (Cloree) Shumpert of Ward and Mrs. Jessie Foy of Clemson; sons, James O., Willie D. and Pearce B. Koon of Ward and Curtis B Koon Jr. of Newberry; a sister, Mrs. Nillar Almond of Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made to the Saluda Nursing Home.
Ramey Funeral Home is in charge.
