They became the parents of four children: Virginia Madeline Wahl Fadness, Robert Edward Wahl, Harold Renne Wahl, and Donald Wahl. Lydia divorced Oscar in 1940 and he was deported as an undesirable alien after serving time in the Montana State Prison at Deer Lodge. Unfortunately for him, he was arrested for the crime of being a Jew, and he was sent to a death camp at Mauthausen, Hesse, Germany, where he died 24 Jan 1945.
