GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1967

Mr. Alfred P. Atwell, 79, was born October 2, 1887 in Green Co. and died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 1967 at the Hart Co. Nursing Home in Munfordville. He was a resident of the Macedonia Community of Green Co. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Flossie Warren Atwell and 4 daughters and 3 sons: Mrs. Edwin Froggett, Greensburg; Mrs. Mae Warren, Peoria, IL; Mrs. Eva Brewer, Hodgenville and Mrs. Lura Peace, Hodgenville; James Atwell, Earlville, IL; Robert Atwell, Canmer and Roy Atwell, Greensburg. Atwell is also survived by 3 brothers: Luke & Albert Atwell, both of Larue Co., Ovie Atwell, Earlville, IL; Mrs. Sarah Warren, Magnolia; 30 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 1967, with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Rev. Claude McCubbins officiated. Serving as pallbearers were: Willie Bryant, Lonzie Crain, Jamie Money, Jimmy Money, Bobby English and Boyce Beard.
