Laura M Crain, 84, who had lived in Modesto since 1928, died yesterday in a local nursing home, following an extended illiness.
Funeral arrangements are pending in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.
A native of Illinois, she is survived by her daughter, Edna Kraus of Ceres; two grandsons, Glen of Ceres and Gerald of Groveland; and five great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Modesto Church of the Brethren.
