Bernice is the daughter of William Edward Bailey and Mary Ethel Backus.Bernice E. Waugh, 84 of Gauley Bridge, passed away, Friday, December 25, 2009 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.

She was born February 23, 1925 in Gauley Bridge, to the late William E. and Mary E. Backus Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Estel Hamilton, Guy H. Waugh, and son, Larry K. Waugh.

She was a member of the Gauley Bridge Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. She was also a former member of the Ida Baptist Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Shirley Kincaid of Gauley Bridge; Trent Waugh of Falls View; Ron and Nadine Hamilton of Lizemores; daughters and sons-in-law, Keva Hamilton of Cross Lanes; Sue Greathouse of Cleveland, OH; Kay Murawski of Parma, OH; Kathy and Lloyd Arbogast of Buckeye; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two God daughters, Katie Arbogast and Sarajha Davis.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge with Minister Dennis Preast officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral Home.
