Rev. John Brandt Alverson, Sr. was the son of Stephen and Amy (Smith) Alverson. Miranda (Aldrich) Alverson was his 1st wife. They were married November 1, 1820. Miranda died January 12, 1823. Keziah (Stearns) Alverson was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1824. Keziah died September 18, 1878. Rev. Alverson was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1817 F 1819. He served during the War of 1812.
