J. T. McDANIEL
Mr. J.T. (Mack) McDaniel, 79, of Hillsboro died Monday, April 28. He was born October 9, 1923 in Bonham, son of Wesley and Nannie Woodford Knight McDaniel, and attended school in Revenna. Growing up, he enjoyed playing guitar for the country band, "The Revenna Boys," in and around the Bonham and Red River area. He worked for the Kraft Company in Bonham, had his own recycling business, worked as a lineman for the Katy Railroad and for 26 years and six months he was employed by the Texas Highway Department before retiring. His wife, Patsy Lynn Snelson, preceded him in death October 16, 1990. Survivors include: two sons, Jay McDaniel and wife, Kathy, of West and Wesley McDaniel and wife, Josey, of Peoria; three daughters, Katie Turner and husband, Audie, of Winner, Beth Montgomery and husband, George, of Baytown and Lindie Linsey and husband, Earl, of Waco; two sisters, Pauline Banks of Bonham and Juanita Buford of Denison; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Thursday, May 1,at 4 p.m. at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Joe Bob Boyd officiating.
