Funeral services for Roy Reece, 70, who died in a Bristol, Virginia hospital on Tuesday, were conducted from Zionville church Friday afternoon by Reverend Mr. Whitson of Bristol, Virginia, and Reverend R. C. Eggers, of Zionville with Cook Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Zionville Cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Reece are his wife, Mrs. Belle Younce Reece, of Bristol, three sons, four daughters, a sister and a brother.
Mr. Reece who had been in poor health for several months, only became seriously ill on Monday when he was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed.
Mr. Reece was a native of Watauga County, where his friends will hear of his death with sorrow.
