Mrs. Sarah Smith, aged 80, widow of Cannon Smith of Edwardsburg, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Runkle, on Beardsley's Prairie, Wednesday night. She was the mother of Mrs. James A. Arthur of Goshen, Mrs. Henry Runkle and L.E. Smith of Edwardsburg. Mrs. Smith was one of the pioneers of southern Michigan. Funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday.
