Caldwell: Clarice Mendenhall 79, of Caldwell died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Caldwell. She was born July 10, 1908, daughter of the late Garfield and Tessie Bates Danford. She was a member of First Church of Christ of Caldwell, Sharon Grange and the Good Neighbors Club. She and her husband had operated the Western Auto Supply Store in Caldwell for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin in 1983 and by one son, one grandson, one brother and one sister.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs Herbert (Jean) Ramsey and Mrs Dana (Geneva) Foraker, both of Caldwell and Mrs Robert (Janet) Bertram of Elkhart, Ind, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three sisters, June Danford of Caldwell, Ardith Mendenhall of Sarahsville RD 1, and Helen Day of Quaker City.

Friends may call fron 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McVay Funeral Home in Caldwell, where services will be Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Garrett and Dale Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.
