KOLTERMAN - Maria, 91, died Saturday at Hastings. Born Feb. 18, 1873 in Germany. Life-long resident of Thayer County. Survivors: daughter, Edna K. Dagefoerde of Hebron; son, Alfred Kolterman of St. Paul, Minn., sister, Helena Thomas of La Cresenta, Calif.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Montgomery-Tibbetts-Kotter's, Hebron; Pastor John Minnenan. Burial: Hebron City Cemetery.

MARIA A. KOLTERMAN

Maria Augusta Kolterman, daughter of Carl and Wilhelmina Ohlbrecht, was born Feb. 18, 1873 in the village of Cunow, Providence of Prussia, Germany and passed away at Hastings, Nov. 14, 1964, having attained the age of 91 years, eight months and 26 days.

She came to America with her parents in 1882 locating in Thayer County. She was confirmed in Zions Lutheran Church, Carleton June 27, 1886 by Pastor Buechler.

February 20, 1895, she was united in marriage to Robert T. Kolterman at Beattie, Kansas. Two children were born to this union, one daughter, and one son.

In 1909 she and her children moved to Hebron and in 1911 became a communicant member of Grace Lutheran Church. In 1919 she moved to Lincoln, where she became a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Since 1957 she has made her home with her son and daughter.

Surviving her are her two children, Edna Dagefoerde of Hebron, and Alfred C. Kolterman of St. Paul, Minn.; Two grandchildren, five great grand children, one sister, Mrs. Helena Thoman of LaCresenta, California, and nephews and nieces.
