Benodis (Babe) was born in Desoto County, Mississippi on 9-10-1925 (4th out of 10 siblings) to the late W.W. Bullard and Ollie M. Bullard. He confessed his faith in Christ at Halliburton MB Church in Nesbit, Mississippi at an early age. He moved to Louisville, KY in the mid 1940's and was employed at International Harvester Company. He retired from Marley Heating and Cooling Company in 1985 where he was a shopleader for the Teamsters Union Local 200. Benodis was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Louisville, KY under the leadership of Rev HM Humphrey Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Melvin Bullard, and his brother, Wallace Bullard,Sr. He is survived by his children, Ophelia Muse and Warrett Alexander of Memphis TN and Judy Bullard and Benodis Bullard, Jr of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by 3 brothers, 6 sisters,13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
