She married Sylvester Haavig in 1985. She was preceded in death by her first two husbands, her parents, and her daughter, Carmelita Ruth Pemberton. Survivors include her third husband, her children, Kenneth Bonge, Delores Boelk, and Orletta Evoniuk, her brother, Earl Pote, 5 step-children, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Private burial was in Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver.
