CUTLIP, JR., WALTER FERMAN, age 84, of Longwood, Florida passed away on March 3, 2008, after a long illness. Walter was born in Wakefield, Ohio on March 29, 1923 to the late Walter F. Cutlip, Sr. and Louise Brand Cutlip. Walter is preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Ruie Hall Cutlip, the mother of his children. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Richard Cutlip, Maurice Cutlip, Geneva Stewart, and Minnie Eleanor Remy-Akers. Walter had a great passion for life along with a commitment and dedication to his family. Walter enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, his antique cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. Walter moved to Florida in 1975, from West Carrollton, Ohio to work for Super Foods Services, Inc., as a transportation manager, from which he retired in 1983. He had previously worked for Swift & Co. in Dayton, Ohio. He also owned Cutlip Services, Inc. and was a fleet owner in the moving and storage industry. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp, during World War II. He is a member of the West Carrollton Masonic Lodge, Jacob Eby Chapter #571. He is a past member of several antique automobile clubs in the Orlando area.
Walter is survived by his wife of 32 years, Niki Cummins Cutlip. He is also survived by three sons and a daughter, of Houston, TX; sister, of Wakefield, OH, and many special nieces and nephews. Walter's family includes 12 grandchildren. He has 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Waverly, Ohio on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Boyer Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 4-7PM Friday and from 9AM until the time of service on Saturday. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Care, 5151 Adanson St., Suite 200, Orlando, Florida or to the charity of choice.
