ARTHUR E. SCHLIE, 80, died Saturday at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Fort Wayne, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Leona I.; four sons, Perry A. of Vancouver, Wash., Alan P. of Waynesville, Md., Timothy C. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Randall Kirby of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Sara E. Myers of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 2320 Broadway. Calling from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, and an hour before services at the church. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the church or to Worship for Shut-ins.
