A native of Landrum, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Harry Warner Gosnell (1906-1978) and Alta Ulah (West) Gosnell (1912-1994) and was the husband of Mary Ruth (Pack) Gosnell.
He was formerly employed with Landrum Mills.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Wayne Gosnell; three sisters, Betty Hamlin, Margaret Harrill, Rosa Patterson; one brother, Charlie Hayward Gosnell.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Everette Pierce.
