Loran E. Allison, 52, of 806 N. Metcalf-st, widely known in Lima religious circles, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday at the residence after an illness of three weeks.
Death was caused by a diabetic disturbance and complication of diseases. He was an active member of the Trinity M. E. church and largely thru his efforts, the Grand Avenue M. E. church was originated. At the time of his death, he was a commercial traveler for the Cincinnati Cordage Paper Co. Allison had held several pastorates in the vicinity of Lima.
He was born in Loda, Ill. In addition to the widow, he is survived by two sons, Gordon and Loran Jr., both at home; and two daughters, Mrs. B. D. Loofbourrow, of Dayton, and Mildred Allison, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Trinity M. E. church, with the Rev. E. S. Weaver, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.
