Deadwood Daily Pioneer-Times newspaper, September 20, 1901 - A Sad Journey. Last evening's B. & M. brought the family of Emanuel Dunn home from their trip to Michigan, where they have been visiting for the past six months. They brought with them the body of the young son, Francis Herbert Dunn, who died in Michigan. The family and the remains were met at the depot by friends.
The funeral will be held today at 2 o'clock p.m. in the Methodist church, Rev. Mahood officiating. S.R. Smith will act as funeral director.

FUNERAL NOTICE
The funeral of Francis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Dunn, occurred from the M.E. church at 2 o’clock this afternoon, S.R. Smith funeral director.
Deceased was 5 years and 6 months of age. Death occurred while the family was visiting in Michigan. The remains arrived via the Burlington last evening.
